I am looking to buy a 2010, I want the 17" wheels but I do not want the advanced technology package/navigation. I want the 17" stock with all the adjustments made to the steering system, etc. I contacted Toyota via their online chat and asked if there was a way to buy a Prius V without options and their response was no. Then I made the comment that their Package V has no options since it is either all or another package. They apologized and said that they were sorry a 2010 Prius V cannot be purchased without options. In other words, the Prius V is $32K, period. Has anyone been able to purchase a 2010 Prius V without options? Thanks
Someone either misunderstood your question or they were incorrect in the information they provided you. The Prius V is available without the AT package or the Navigation package. Hard part might be finding one, but they do make that model wihtout any packages.
I had seen one received at a dealer w/o options. Originally the "build your own" would not allow it in my area but I noticed last time I was able to not select the AT or Nav. But as it was said, you may not find one.
That sounds great, but even on Toyota's website, when you build a Prius, at least with a zipcode in the New York area, when selecting the Prius V, the price of the car goes from $28K and then changes within a second or two to $32k. The ATP option cannot be unchecked! Could a Prius V be gotten without options somewhere in New York? Thanks
There had better be.... I just plunked down 5 c-notes last week for one.... The only thing the GM said was not to bother w/ deposits at any other dealers...no one locally would be able to find one any faster than he could...out:
That is weird since the V w/o options can be shipped to the same port but delivered to the Central Atlantic Region. I assume when they unload ships there are two different parking areas for the different regions?
Yes, you can get a package 5 with NAV only. Meaning, a car with a NAV system (standard) in a V package. I just found and delivered one last week... it was not easy to obtain, but I can do it. I think it's about $30,100 with mats or close to that $ amount. I'm sorry -- if you're not close enough to me to make sense of this, keep trying till you find someone who knows how to make it happen. Keep checking the dealer website inventory in your area, and nearby states. I found and bought a 2010 V with nav, leather etc (but no advanced technology pkg) last week. Had to drive 400 miles, but it was worth it. Great car!
Someone from PC just bought one last week or the previous week w/o packages(no Nav)! He lives in Florida! Look at the onwers pictures, he got a red one! They appear to be very rare at this time, but may increase in frequency by the end of the year? I am waiting til the end of the year. Good luck!
I picked up my red V with NO options - not even Nav last Saturday. MSRP with no fees. I was very lucky - the dealer found one coming in and traded for it.
Wow I asked them at Toyota Santa Monica where I ordered my car and they said absolutely no way can they get a V without the technology package I wanted the big wheels and LED lights! Instead I ordered a package IV with solar sunroof and I am going to change the headlamps aftermarket and also add bigger wheels that they can do for me there. However, is there a package V with solar sunroof and no technology package? Now I love the sunroof option!
Not yet, but wouldn't be surprised by mid year or for the 2011 models that you'll be able to get a V with no AT and SP instead. Would have loved that option, but not available. Be careful with Santa Monica, they will throw stuff on you don't want and say it's the only way they can get it. Will only charge you MSRP, but you'll most likely end up paying for accessories you don't want. I pulled my deposit from them and found my car through another dealer. Mine will most likely be in sometime this week. Has been in port since the 10th. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Hope this helps and good luck finding a car.
