At MotorMouths.com we compile the scores of all the published reviews for every new car on sale in the US. When the new Prius hit the market,we specifically tracked the difference in critics’ scores between the outgoing Prius model and the 2010 version. Ordinarily, you might see a 2-3 point jump in average review scores when a new version of any vehicle comes out. But the 2010 Prius immediately saw a 6 point jump in average review score — which is pretty astounding, since it was already the best-reviewed hybrid in America. Even with Jeremy Clarkson’s rant review factored in, the Prius is scoring an 87, which is the best of all the hybrids on the market. Toyota Prius :: MotorMouths Does that surprise anyone?
