Well. I picked up my new 2010 yesterday.. but.. there was no owners manual.. I got the nav manual, and all the other material.. but no owners manual.. The sales person said this is the 2 prius he has delivered.. and all of them did not have one.. he stated that he has to get one from toyota.. Just wondering if anyone else had this experience.. I would have thought it all comes in the glove box from the MFG.. how could it not be in there?.. did toyota not print out enuff? Scott
Sounds like a screwup at port or dealer - every car should have an owner's manual. That being said, Toyota did revise it electronically, hopefully you'll get a newer version w/ the correct gas spec, etc. in it That being said, you can go to the Owner's section of Toyota.com, put in your info/VIN, and download portions of the owner's manual based on topic if you have a nagging question.
I did not get one with my 2009 but he dealer sent one out the next day after I sent him an e-mail. Maybe they took it out of another vehicle on the lot to send me one. If so, it will become a never ending cycle.....until they run out of stock vehicles!
Maybe they are correcting the 88 Octane "typo" and recalled all the manuals. My car even came with a DVD that explains the most important stuff.
I got the owners manual, and that plus the other info was the largest stack of manuals I've ever received with a car.
Maybe this is your missing manual. 2010 Toyota PRIUS Owners Manual Guide Books NAVIGATION:eBay Motors (item 260424855443 end time Jul-07-09 16:59:29 PDT)
I receive an owner's manual on a 2010 Prius V w/Adv. Tech. package when I took delivery of the vehicle. It was with the Navigation manual in the lower glove box.
I also receive the DVD that explains the high tech stuff for the Prius. It was attach by a rubber band to the owner's manual cover (inside). The DVD video was informative.
I grabbed my manuals as soon as it got off the truck to get a jump on my reading. Maybe somebody took your manuals thinking it was his/her car.
