OK, I know this is the premium site for Prius discussion, but many main stream purchasers review Edmonds. So far there are only three ratings on the 2010 and one review really slammed the car bringing the average down pretty low (I doubt he really owns one). You don't need to lie, but you do need to post if you want the non-PC world to recognize the Prius as the car it is. I hope this request doesn't break any club rules.
Rating the Prius 2010 is a combination of: - what the car was designed for - the likes of the person rating it - with what do you compare this car - features and quality - reliability So, based on what I listed above, so far, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. And that is a lot to ask from a brand new car!
Let'em know! I've seen too many ratings on various vehicles where someone critizes a vehicle for all the wrong reasons. Intelligent reviewers can sort through the information that's inportant to them if you give an honest evaluation, even if there are parts you don't like (as that may not be important to them)
Well, I just don't read anymore the Internet reviews of some "experts" that compare the new Prius with some sport cars or Trucks, for that matter. I am really curious to see the review on Consumer Reports, I do have some respect for their opinion. My first Prius was a 2005 model (purchased in Dec 2004) fully loaded. I never thought of it or expected it to be a sporty car or some type of powerful car, but after 4.5 years it definitely exceeded my expectation as an all around nice practical and reliable vehicle to drive every single day. I don’t expect anything less from my new Prius and I am sure my today’s rating of 9 (out of 10) might go up as I learn and drive more my new baby!
This is my first Prius and only my second new car and I would give it a 9.8. I would give it a perfect 10 if the seats didn't bother my back a little bit. The only fit and finish thing I have noticed is with the steering wheel. When no music is on I can hear something rubbing when I turn the wheel. It is from the inside and as if the plastic is rubbing against some other plastic. That is going to be quite annoying if I have to take it in for something so small. The day after I received my car I took it back to the dealer to have the free tint job put on that they promised me. Up to that point I was at 58 mpg but when they gave me the car back it was 45 mpg. I was so ticked off. When they received the car I had the air off and vent on low but when I received it the a/c was on full blast so I'm imagining the tint guy was blasting my air and radio the whole hour and a half that he had it, thereby using my engine and burning my fuel. Little aggravating things.
