Pyxis Leader (East Coast Bound)

Has anyone received any delivery updates from their dealers for any cars from the Pyxis Leader?

 

I have a new boat to track. "Overseas Joyce"

After finding out my dealer assigned the wrong car to my request, a Prius IV vice the Prius V I requested, I've jumped ship literally today.

Finding an unallocated Prius V with Nav or the ATP in the DC area is like finding a needle in the haystack.

I did find one though with the Navigation in a color I wanted, and without any preassigned port installs.

While the dealer did not have an ETA for Port arrival, he was expecting a dealership delivery the first week of July. Based on the track history of Kentucky Highway and Pyxis Leader I would guess a port entry around June 22nd.

 

My dealer called me on Thursday. My car came off the Pyxis Leader and is due at the dealership on Monday (Toyota of Morristown, NJ). Very professional and so far I've had a great experience with them. I ordered a stock Blizzard Pearl III. They charged me MSRP + mats + cargo net + first aid kit + delivery + doc fees + tax. Nothing ridiculous or out of the ordinary so I'm happy. It would probably be ready by Tuesday but I've got a busy week coming up so I have to wait until Thursday to pick it up. I was actually there yesterday and they had a blue ribbon IV w/ nav, which s either unspoken for or they are keeping as a demo unit. Looks like a few people have taken it out for a ride as there were 180 miles on the odometer. I sat in it and got to finally check the car out in person. My sales person offered to let me test drive it. As tempting as it was, I declined saying that I had already bought the car and test driving it now would be pointless. Besides, it'll make driving my first new car off the lot all that much more special

In the meantime though, the wait is killing me.

How did you get a new inquiry? Mine was also on the Pyxis Leader, which states a delivery date of 6/22. I haven't heard anything from the dealer since the original report on 6/8/09. At that time it was a category A.

Do you have any idea what "PDI" and "Port PDS Complete" mean?

 

I am not sure how my saleschick got it. I just know it showed up in my email yesterday morning. But this is the lady that confused me by saying:
""I believe that your Prius is going to be shipped from Georgetown Kentucky port. Then it will be transported on a transit truck to our dealership."




I guess PDI is Pre Delivery Inspection
Maybe PDS is Pre Deivery Scan? I am 100% guessing.

 

I'm in Maryland, and heard this from my dealer...

"For this initial allocation, only 5.9% will be Prius IV with the Sunroof/Navigation Package (SR). Even fewer (2%) are Prius V with the Advanced Technology Package (AT). Toyota has indicated a strategy of increased availability for July, and we are hoping there will be increased numbers of these specialty packages."

Has your dealer given you any kind of a date estimate for delivery? I have been waiting almost a year for this car and these last few days have been torture!!

 

I agree . . . and agree again. When "pakman777's Ship" comes in, THEN I will be excited.

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" I serve the troops evey day, and we appreciate ANYONE who minimizes casualties by minimizing their use of oil.

 

OK . . . Now you're just MESSING WITH US!!! PT Cruisers masquerading as Prius's . . . What will they think of next?? Is there no end to the suffering of the aspiring 2010 owner? Is there?
I have a PT Cruiser that I would be MORE THAN WILLING to trade for a Prius. Maybe I should head down to Jacksonville, park my Cruiser, take a Prius, and just drive off and leave it there . . . consider it a "fair trade" I can dream, can't I?

 

Ah, the torture factor. It is like being on the CruiseCritics forums; everyone has a countdown and everyone gets cranked up for the final days.

No delivery date, but the contractions are about 3 minutes apart.

She did say I should bring my Prizm in late this week for appraisal, so we must be close.

 

I got my trade-in appraised on 06/08/09. Didn't get as much as I was hoping, but I think they were fair.

 

If you are in NY they should be unloading the Andromeda Leader at Newark right now. Possibly already finished. These should hit the floor in a week in your area.
If your car was on the Pyxis it should be hitting the dealer floor if it hasn't already.

I refuse to get excited - even though I test drove the car yesterday (and was really impressed!) - I refuse to get excited. When I get a call from the dealer - they'll hear the scream all the way to Japan! :bounce:

Mine was on the pyxis leader, but i havn't heard from the dealer about a delivery date. Every time the phone rings i get butterflies in my stomach. I want to contact him, but i don't want him to think i am a pest. My patience is wearing thin.

 

Mine was on the Pyxis also and was just told to expect delivery around July 2nd. Why would it take almost a month to get the car to a dealer?

 

my car is on that ship (or off now) - wonder how long to get to virginia/maryland?
