Alright, my defense is going to be I was with friends. But I ended up seeing "Drag Me to Hell" this weekend. Low Budget horror flick. (Wait until on free TV, then Wait some more) but I mention it, because it happened to have a supporting star in this forums favorite automobile a Generation 2 Prius. The mainstreaming of The Prius continues with it' appearance in the movie as The Concerned Boyfriends Car. While the girls car get's trashed, The Prius remains the automotive hero. The MID even providing plausible interior cabin lighting for scenes when they are driving at night. I guess it's not much, but perhaps it means something when Prius is showing up as just regular cars in movies. Evidently Hybrid Synergy Drive also has Curse Repeling attributes, as The Prius scenes are among the calmest of the movie. Which might be helpful if you find yourself tempted to pick up an albino eyed ancient gypsy woman with a hankering to do some curse casting. (I'd let her sit in front, and don't shame her) Probably The low coefficient of Drag makes the Prius hard to drag to hell?
I look forward to seeing Drag Me to Hell... The director, Sam Raimi, has been one of my favorites for a long time... From the Evil Dead trilogy to Spiderman, he has come a long way IMHO.
My Prius has appeared in quite a few student films here in L.A. ;-) I'm looking forward to seeing "Drag Me To Hell." We'll probably even see it in an actual movie theatre.
Of course! This is why the Prius is the preferred mode of non-broom transportation among the forum's witches
For a second, I thought you mean taking a Prius to the drag strip If only Edward Cullen drove one in the film adaption of Twilight...
The Prius has been in various TV shows, it was in Reaper a few years ago. http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-hybrid-news/38329-prius-cw-s-reaper.html
