I just swapped out my custom LED door lights (that shine on the pavement when you open the door) from my '07 to the '10! These are the ones fabricated by Darrell. If you are lucky enough to have had him customize to LED these door lights, and you are lucky enough to have a 3Gen Prius, they fit exactly in the 2010 plugs! It took me about 2 minutes!:mod: I'll check out the trunk light and the spots as well and let ya'll know. Lee
Darrell used to make them and sell them, he is a member here, but I believe he has given up on making anymore LED replacement bulbs.
Don't try to take the bulb out, just pop the lens assembly out using a knife blade. The whole unit pops out and plugs in the connector. Darrell isn't fabricating the units anymore. Regular LED bulbs may be able to be used. Do a LED Light search as there have been several threads on this topic. I posted this thread to alert anyone with Darrell's custom units. Lee
Sweet! Glad to hear that you can move them into your shiny new ride! I'm amazed at how many people ask me if the lights will work in such-and-such a car. Like I have thousands of car models at my disposal! If I don't own the car, I typically have no clue! Now I have one more bit of information to share with the folks who ask. At least they still work in the 2010! If you can't get some of the others to fit into the new car, maybe we can work something out. You are correct that I'm not in production with these any longer, but I do have some parts still sitting around.
Darrell, the trunk light swaps out and so does the overhead console lights. Unfortunately, I only ordered one overhead for my Gen 2 as the console had a dome light and 2 spots. The Gen 3 (sunroof edition) uses only 2 spot/dome combination lights in the console. So my swap out leaves me with a crisp white light on one side and a nasty yellow light on the other side of the console when the doors are opened. Lee
Ewww. Drop me a line if you'd like to try and fix that. The hard part is getting a match, so we may just need to swap out what you have with two matching ones or something.
