ahhh ok. Nope. The website hasn't changed either. paranoidandroid, did you call your dealer to check if your vehicle has arrived? It's supposed to be in today.
I got an update on mine... last week of June. As early as June 23, as late as July 1. I can live with that, the pics posted by others will get me through. I would have liked to have been the first in Canada! Still no word on pricing and it's not imminent, likely 2nd week of June. Based on the shipments posted, I would wager that there are already cars in distribution lots (like paranoid's) Unfortunately they might not release them to the dealers for another week or two. I guess that's fair (aside from waiting on pricing) and will make for a big release all at once.
My vehicle is currently sitting in the Edmonton Warehouse. I hopefully will be getting it early next week. I'll keep you guys posted.
So basically they'll release the cars when the prices are out since they're already at the last step before the actual delivery to the dealership.
Well, Monday is June 1st, and the Red Tag Deals should be over, no? We can only continue to hope that will provide a good opportunity for them to finally release the pricing.
Well Toyota extended their 0% financing (36 months) on the 09 prius. the prius.ca website still is a sleeper site. Did anyone hear anything about Canadian pricing???
I just talk to my dealer and he told me that he has no clue about a date for the pricing. He told me that Toyota Canada will try to negociate as much as possible with Toyota Corp. He thinks that the financing rate will be not less than the one for the Verza which is 5.9% and may be even higher 6.9% !
nothing, nada, zilch. I noticed the Toyota.ca site was different and hoped it was a sign... but no. I can't even get my insurance finalized without a pick up date or price, so they better give us SOME lead time.
This was posted on the Toyota Canada Twitter feed... We are looking forward to presenting this year's 2009 Toyota Earth Day Scholarship National Award. See you at 12:30 pm! Could be another nice opportunity for them to release the pricing.
Website prius.ca is now up! (sorry I can't hyperlink yet: new account) I've subscribed to the mailing list to be informed of news about the release... Still have to wait...
Bonjour et bienvenue! Ce site était déja en ligne depuis février. Edmonton Area launch date is June 16
Philosophe got me all excited there, for a minute... Well, if the launch in Edmonton is June 16, I might be able to hold out for 2 more weeks with no real updates.:ranger:
I bit the bullet when to the nearest Toyota dealership to my work. Sales guy basically said their being launched (pricing and all) on June 18. Also, he gave me the toyota finance rates: 4.9% for 36 months and 5.9% for 48 and above. Not too bad given I was expecting 6.9%. So I'll waiting to see what they come up with.
so had a discussion with the wife and we decided to place a hold on a winter grey / "grey" interior base model. Hopefully when jun 18 we can get a price and decide whether its worth going 2010 or go with an 2009. This is more driven by the fact that I'm getting some noises from my current car's tranny and don't want to risk $2k a tranny bill on a 10 year old car...
I think the lease rates were also 5.9%. He mentioned it but I was more concerned with the finance rates! I can email him for it.
