so i've been checking out 2010 prius's around the southern california area, and it seems like you can't get a package III without the damn $1800 navi package! But, I've also seen Package II's with Bluetooth (for $23750 which sounds like a III to me), which is what i wanted the base package III for (and upgraded sound system) This is confusing to me though because I thought the blootooth+sound system was only available in package III and up. Should I just go with the II? I definitely down want the navi.. help!
I believe you can get the bluetooth system as an accessory for the Prius II. However, you will be getting just the bluetooth and not the upgraded sound system that is available only in package III and up. You can see the accessory here: Toyota Prius Accessories
The ONLY difference between the II and III is: JBL® AM/FM/6-CD changer with Bluetooth® hands free capability, integrated XM Satellite radio, and eight speakers So I'd check to make sure it is a JBL system and it has 8 speakers- there is a BLU Logic dealer option that should only be $299 installed which will give the stock radio the bluetooth phone capabilities. Seems like there's a lot of CA dealers pulling some shady stuff so I'd be careful. The window sticker will state if the radio is JBL as well. Link about BLU Logic option
Thanks for all your help guys! also, does anyone know what exactly the $280 "Preferred Premium Accessory Package " includes? I just noticed that its part of the price in the package II. thanks again!
This is a combination of a few port accessories, usually floor mats, cargo net, and either first aid kit or bumper applique. There may be a slight discount for combining them.
