Yes, I hate leather seats but the car came with them. I have found a few nice looking cordoba or similar seatcovers, but $250 for seatcovers is kind of steep. Has anyone put good seatcovers on that fit and dont slip around for less?
I do know GT Cover's Exact fits are the 'OEM' like seat covers for the Prius. I've seen them advertised at my dealer. Wet Okole's are another high-end brand. I don't use seat cover's at the moment. Good luck though.
You could just get a set of the OEM cloth seat covers that you can find on ebay for sale. Then replace your leather with cloth. Several people upgraded to leather recently, you could probably get a set for cheap. Just an idea.
Y'know, maybe you should consider swapping the whole seats with someone on PC who has a set of fabric ones? I know I'd LOVE to have leather seats in my Prius, but purchased it second hand...
IMO, none of the aftermarket seat covers looks good except for the Wet Okoles. So if I were you and hated the leather so much, I'd get the Wet Okoles for around $400. The OEM cloth is obviously nice and can be inexpensive (I got a complete brand new OEM set for around $60), but installation at an auto upholsterer will run $350 - $600, and DIY is difficult and time consuming. Alternatively, get the inexpensive GT Covers knock-offs or seconds from the eBay vendor, Exact Fit Seat Covers, for only $69: 2005-2009 TOYOTA PRIUS 2 ROWS SEAT COVERS GRAY:eBay Motors (item 200326557482 end time May-30-09 10:03:42 PDT) Or, maybe get nice custom fit sheepskin covers for the driver's seat only for around $200?
I bought these cloth seat covers for my 2006 Prius with side air bags. They fit very good and look like OEM. Cloth quality is very good too. 2005-2009 TOYOTA PRIUS 2 ROWS EXACT FIT SEAT COVERS:eBay Motors (item 350189080433 end time Jun-09-09 06:51:07 PDT) Fitting those took more than an hour as it has all separate pieces for each bottom cusion, back, and head rest and rear side pieces. But once installed they look very good.
