Per the SET (Southeast Region) inventory site, the following '10s are in the pipeline for the Region: 142 II (1223) 150 III (1225) 36 IV (1227) 17 V (1229) All various colors and packages. Availablity - "Immediately" thru 6/17. There are New Vehicle Details on each car. The lowest total price was $22775 for a II up to $31,171 for a loaded V. The SET Manf/Del/Proc/Handing Fee is $775. And the Base price for each model is the same as has been reported here and by Toyota. Many seem to have packages bundled in - either Solar roof, Nav, or ATP. The one I'm interested in - a V with no packages in my color combo is on the listings with the last 4 numbers of the VIN. All detail listings have last 4 digits of the car's VIN. Already contacted my dealer where I have a $500 ref dep. He's checking into it - but I'm not holding hopes that it's targeted for another SET dealer. When I talked to him, I mentioned it had no packages. He said - well it must have Nav... I said no. He mentioned the brochure and I verified that the Packages are factory Options. He then said "well, that's not the SET brochure...." Although this car's detail shows no bundled Nav, I'm afraid they are... We'll see. If that's the case, and the dealer/Region has Adv fees and other forced $$$ I'm out of here and will purchase in another Region. BTW - Most of the cars seem to have Toyoguard Plus on the installed options - $699 - another no-go for me... Complete scam IMO. Other port options I saw on some vehicle details: Accent Stripes (SA10) $89. Window Tint (TW50) $249. Carpet mats (PV40) $229. Rear Bumper applique (BP30) $99. Cargo Net $59. One Model IV even had 17" alloys and tires on the detail (WG80) $1599. My local dealer here near Orlando is expecting 2 '10s either Sat or Mon. Can't wait to drive... I can wait for the wheelin' dealin'....
Just did a search for SET 2010's. Used this link. New-Inventory SET-Fred-Anderson-Toyota Raleigh NC Selected the Prius Select View inventory for your New Prius Change year to 2010 (shows Fred's inventory "6") Select matching vehicles across SE #142 cars pkg 1223 total #63 next 7 days, #79 in 6-17-09(must be another ship) #143 cars pkg 1225 total #73 next 7 days, #70 in 6-17-09 #128 cars pkg 1227 total #67 next 7 days, #61 in 6-17-09 #18 cars pkg 1229 total #4 next 7 days, #14 in 6-17-09
DeanFL, is the Fred Anderson site the same one you used, or do you have a different one? I didn't see the car I want when going through Fred Anderson (and yes, I did select matching across SE). I'm hoping there's another site that might have some that were missing from there :/
1,404 2010s "across the Southeast". Certainly the vast majority still in Japan or on ships. Here's the link - SET BuyaToyota. Plug in your zip and click on the dealer you want. Should bring you to Toyota models, click on Prius - should show 1,404 (seems to change...) Click on right box "View inventory for new Prius". Will show the # in inventory for that dealer, but you can also select all. Can filter by model/color/MSRP and drill down to the details of each car. Beware this is an example of the Sticker, not the actual one printed in the Port - or one from the dealer after their potential add-ons. Have fun, but don't you dare touch mine... BuyaToyota.com
SET=Bogus markups. We talked to a dealer 2 weeks ago in SWFL whose best deal was MSRP + bogus markups for a 2009! We hung up. I'll buy up north.
I THINK I would like the process to be over, but truly feel this journey is a hell of a lot of fun - and very interesting - because of all the folks on here. Perhaps reaching the destination will be a bit of a letdown. You know, the anticipation then reality. Kind of like dating a hot chick, being engaged, married and then the honeymoon is over. Not really, the ride is still fun - on both parts. Speaking of folks on here - sincere thanks to the Smart Ones that have the answers and advice -even for the repetitive questions. And especially to Jeff and Diane - our two resident Dealer Pros.
Dean, I kindly disagree that reaching the destination will be a letdown. Just got back from finally getting to see a 2010 in person, 1225 Blizzard Pearl, beige cloth interior and it was really exciting! All the wonderful pictures and discussion we've been privy to on PC, well, seeing it in person is even better! I talked so much I'm sure the sales guy thought I was a complete nut! :bounce: Anyway, mine (1227, no options, blizzard pearl, misty gray leather) is due 6/17. I might even sleep in it the first night!!! Well, maybe.
Actually I was poking fun a bit about a letdown... Your mention of sleeping in it the first night. Funny. I've (almost) done that after three new car buys - the first Pontiac Fiero to be sold in the state I lived, Acura Legend coupe-first year, and Toyota MR2. Of course the manual was devoured the first night too. Honeymoon night. Expect the same with the Prius. I guess for most of us here, the Prius won't simply be a car...or just a mode of transportation.
Did you see one anywhere near central NC? I would love to sit in one and see if the center console bothers me.
Yes sir! Right up your alley in High Point... Call Keo (pronounced "key-o") at Vann York Toyota, he's a nice fellow and very knowledgable of the 2010's. Better hurry, it might disappear .
Sounds like SET is marking up "MSRP" on the PIO's. Applique is a $69 option elsewhere, and I've seen invoice pricing to know that $69 is a fair markup from dealer cost. $30 additional markup on top of that is just milking it.
Do you think it could be a BP30, that is the black bumper guard...my dealer told me 89$. I want the clear bumper guard. I think I should call him.
My Package V with Navi arrived in South Florida Thursday Morning at around 7:00AM. I stopped by my dealer Thursday afternoon and there it was. Dealer wants to keep it on his showroom for a few days until he has another one for display (bummer); now I have to wait for someone else's car to arrive before I can pick up mine. Amazing, it arrived in Jacksonville on the Kentucky Highway Tuesday morning and was at the dealer 48 hours later. Also, it came with Turanza EL400's, not the Toyos that have been on the west coast package V's.
I have questions on Build to Order, when reviewing zip in FL (SET Region), In my search I got: 35 PII 1223 19 PIII 1225 0 PIV 1227 0 PV 1229 Now where did the higher number of cars come from for SET Region, and you also have someone in FL, that sees a PV on the lot. How does this work? 142 II (1223) 150 III (1225) 36 IV (1227) 17 V (1229)
