    Hey all!

I'm really tempted to sell my current 2009 pkg 5 Prius that I converted using the PbA kit from Plugin Supply for the 2010 Prius..

I paid 30,000$ out the door with my dealer for this vehicle in September of 2008.

I have about 16,000 miles on it... how much should I be listing it for?

I've completed the following mods as well:

    GPS lockout fix
    Try-EV button(the 34 mph limit one)
Force-EV button(kills engine and allows up to 52 mph EV)
    Tail-lamp charge indicator

    Any ideas?

I think you should ask for fairly close to the 30k, if not more. Low miles, pretty new, and you save the buyer the time and effort to get all this stuff installed, up, and running.

The main issue would be how to market it. You are aiming for a very small set of potential buyers - not many people looking for a pre-built PHEV. Typical outlets like autotrader may not do well. Here would be one good place (private sales).

You also may consider putting a trial balloon up on Ebay Motors. List it with a high reserve price so you don't have to sell cheap. See how high the bidding goes. If it doesn't reach your reserve price, at least you may have a better clue as to real-world value, and who knows, someone might offer you $35k+!

As for me, your car is out of my price range. I was stretching it to buy my used stock Prius.

i think you need to post just a "little" bit more info (like ANY at all) about your conversion

Your challenge will be to find someone interrested in paying extra for the Lead Acid PHEV, since the range is quite limited, and battery life short. The market is small, mainly people who live within 15 miles of their work. Its what the auto industry calls a Non-Book Item.

    What about it?

The Plug-in supply kit came through an authorized dealer, and was installed by both me and one of their techs.

Since then, I've been servicing the PHEV kit by my self.

This kit is a 5kwh pack. The batteries have been in use since January. It probabbly has a good 2 years left in it. The cost to replace the batteries is around 800 to 900 dollars.

I've been able to average 78 MPG with an average of 740 miles a tank for my daily commute of 72 miles. I'm only able to plug in at home.

I wired a switch inline to the speed wire. It looks pretty legit, it's hidden inside of the top glove compartment. Everything is flush :)

That is KBB trade-in value for your car in good condition. I would expect Carmax to offer a bit less.

    To the OP,

Edmunds puts the Private Party value on your Prius at about $21K. I would add about 70% to 80% of the PHEV conversion cost to get a realistic selling price.

ok, now this post contains infinitely more info. what is EV only range for town? highway? weight of pack? any loss of storage involved?

either way, lot of miles for short period of ownership. i think you should wait until gas goes up another 50-75 cents. that will get you an extra $5,000 on the price

EV range is about 18 miles using pulse and glide.

PHEV Range is about 32 miles on the highway.

The pack weighs about 300 lbs. The car has an upgraded suspension to counteract the additional weight.

Yeah... Lots of miles. I commute to school every single day :/

That offer sounded preeetty nice... It's too bad that I already put down my deposit on the car :(.. Since you're the area, I'd GLADLY help you out on the PHEV conversion! Hit me up!

Oh, I thought I told everyone why I'm getting rid of my baby... it needs a new home with a plug so that I can turn a 2010 Prius into a PHEV as well ;)... In other words, I have a deposit on a 2010 Package 5 w/AT coming in about 2 weeks.
