What color is the solar panel; and due to its color will it look better on some Prius colors than others? How far does it extend from the sunroof towards the back of the car? Does any light enter the cabin via the panel? I've seen pictures of the sunroof; but can anybody post good pictures of the solar panel?
If you've seen the commercials, the Blizzard Pearl car is wearing a solar roof There is no light transmitted through the panel. If you search this forum, I did post the transmissive value (tint level) of the moonroof panel (see http://priuschat.com/forums/knowledge-base-articles-discussion/61167-2010-prius-window-specs.html). There's also a sliding sunshade to block the light.
Here's a picture from the pre-realease intro in LA. It looks good on blue, probably any color. I think the roof is fully open. I didn't check inside headroom. It looks to be about 8-9 inches from the top of the rear hatch window.
And speaking of commercials and print ads - seems as if Blizzard Pearl is the chosen Prius Poster Child. It does stand out well.
