Here's the deal: Close to 2 weeks ago I ordered a Salsa red package #3 at MSRP from Don Davis Toyota in Arlington. $500 refundable deposit. This past week I decided that I will order my Salsa red out of state (NM) as I really want Package #4. So - as I am traveling to NM for vacation, I will be meeting a dealer there and if everything they told me was true - will order another Prius on Monday. Then, when I come back to DFW on Friday, I will call Don Davis Toyota to cancel. Here's where you could come in - I am guessing that dealership will gladly wipe off my name off the board and write yours on. They said 2-4 months delivery (2 is more like it per their experience) and 2 weeks of that has already passed. PM me if you would want me to talk to the dealer and give them your name so you can grab the one that I ordered - with a shorter wait! Per the dealer - port options can be added/removed 30 days before delivery.
OK, just as an FYI - I came back from my vacation (Santa Fe area), where I did order another Prius. I will be calling Don Davis Toyota in Arlington TX tomorrow and will cancel my order of Salsa Red #3 there (it's been 3 weeks on order). Nobody PMed me, so - if you are interested, you can talk to Jason Nelson (who I spoke at Don Davis) and ask about the car starting tomorrow probably after noon as it will be unclaimed. EDIT: I just cancelled my order. Jason said that the Salsa Red that I ordered is scheduled to come to the Arlington dealership on May 28! So - if you are interested - go right ahead!
rookie, When does your new Prius get delivered? or are you going back to Santa Fe to get it? You will love it, I am having a lot of fun with mine.

While I was at the SF dealership, I did not want to wait for the exact pricing - had other things to do... I need to talk to the dealer and will then decide if I will pick it up or they will send it. If it's $350 - they can do it. If it's $500 - I am going there. 650 miles is not THAT far to drive I do not have the final date as of yet either.
