Any feedback on how the quality is on hands free phone features. My wife would like to know how clear the call is. When I call her, with any hands free device, in my 06 Prius, going 60 MPH she complains about road noise and she can’t hear me very well. At that point I give up and hand up or pick up the handset. I did not have the built in Bluetooth it was too much cash. Tried head sets and Garmin with extended mic.
The sound quality of the bluetooth in my '09 is very good - none of the problems I had with external hands-free devices in my other cars. I would expect the 2010 to be equal or better.
I have used the bluetooth in my 2010 and works okay. The quality in the car is somewhat scratchy and muffled and the person receiving says I talk too loud thinking the microphone is far away. There is only one speaker near the drivers side dash that you hear, not thru the stereo speakers. My only complaint is you have to wait thru 4-5 voice commands to actually dial the number-I need to find a short-cut, but I have only had the car one day. My phone connects real well, but it did not transfer my sim card contact list. The system connects automatically to your phone once you set it up, and it beeps you to connect every time you start the car. I have a package IV NAV, , solar roof.
