Hello, I've ordered my 2010 Prius in Tennessee, and I have a few questions. Namely, do they have a regional distributor like SET? And what ship is servicing the states in that region? I've seen a bunch of stuff for the west coast and New England, but not a lot of info on this area. Anyone got any info? Thanks!
While I cannot confirm that Prii for any other location may or may not be on "Aruiga Leader", I know that this ship is sue to port in Portand on 5/27, and that my car, which is on that ship, is expected to be in Chicago around 6/18. This means that if a car for TN is on this ship, I would not think that it would be there sooner than 6/18, but that is purely a guess on my part. I am not sure where they ship the cars to via rail, before loading onto trucks. If it is to Chicago (as we are a major US Rail hub), then you are likely a day or two beyond that. If they are shipped elsewhere (or directly to TN via rail), you could potentially see that shipment a few days before 6/18.
Hello, this is my first post but I thought I should give a Tennessee update. I ordered mine through Ron Hibbard in Gallatin - he told me there's only one other person on the waiting list and mine is expected in mid to late June. He didn't stray from MSRP. I had called Rivergate and they gave me the whole "demand outstrips supply" song and dance and that the car could be more than sticker. Beaman Toyota wouldn't give me a price until the Prius were on the ground. Ultimately, Hibbard said they could get me what I wanted (a Prius II) at sticker. But Gallatin's a long trip from Franklin. We'll see if I'm a sucker in a few weeks, but they seemed like nice people.
What you stated above is exactly why I didn't go with any of the dealers here in my area. In fact, Alexander wouldn't even let me give them a deposit to try to allocate the exact car that I wanted. Hence, I had to go out of my region to order my exact car. Where abouts in Franklin do you live? Scott
I actually live in East Nashville, so Gallatin's a little closer to me. At Hibbard I put down a $500 deposit, nonrefundable however. I'm still not exactly clear about how Prius allocation works. What dealer did you use?
Hi. This is my first post. I have a 2010 III w/SR on order/request. Like many others, I find that they're not being built for my region. Very disappointing! Is it possible for a dealer to trade outside their own region to get a model that they normally would not be receiving?
The region you ordered from is the same for Michigan, Ohio,Kentucky and Tennessee and that is called the Cincinnati Region and I also don't think this region is getting the shipments like the other regions from what I have seen in this area. And yes the shipment come out of Portland. I hope this helps
