Hi all, I have been working with Nate at Jon Lancaster, great guy I might add, on trying to allocate a Black 2010 Prius V with ATP. Do any of you in other regions have allocation on this particular car within the next few months? Scott
Have you found many V's with ATP at all? I don't know that Toyota plans to make even 5% of all cars as the Prius V. My guess is that those with the ATP would be a fairly small percentage of the Prius V Model.
Great, then how can I order this car? I haven't found anyone as of yet who will "order" one for me. They always play the allocation game instead. I have plenty of time to wait on this particular vehicle.
I contacted all the Toyota dealers in Eastern Washington, including Spokane, and also from Lewiston, Id to Coeur A'lene. None of them had a V coming in as of yet. My original plan was a PRIUS V with the advanced technology package, but my impulsiveness grabbed the IV with Solar as soon as I heard they were on a truck. I had a 2006 with only 22,500 miles so I certainly could have waited - oh well, maybe in a few years... I'm happy with the IV.
There will be Vs and there will be Vs with the Advance Tech Package. Just don't expect many at the beginning. Toyota needs to have these cars sell in volume, and the V w/ AT is NOT a high-volume car. Still, I'll post a picture of mine if I get it soon!
Someone previously posted that there was a winter gray with ATP available at a dealership. I can't remember which one though. Anyone?

Actually, there is only one Prius V (at least of the two up close) in that photo. Yes, you can tell quickly from the outside it if is equipped with the ATP. Look closely at the bumpers. You will see (in addition to the little bump for the headlight washer on each side, just under the LED lamps), several little sensors for the radar. They look like the sensors that many cars have now, with little circles in the front and rear bumpers. When you see those, you know it has ATP. Otherwise, if it only has the little ones under the headlamps, it may just be a Prius V, like I ordered.
In the second pic linked above, you can see the round sensor (used for auto parking) on the side of the bumper.
You have much better eyes than I. I can't see anything other than the headlamp washers! I do see at least two Prius Vs, though -- one in one photo and two in the other. Thanks, I see that little round sensor.
Yes! If you look at the front bumper on either side there is a small little circle (sensor for park assist.(first pic.)), or if you can see the windshield from the front you can see the camera for LKA and that the black out around the rearview mirror has a step for the camera (second pic). I got the IPA sensor. Small as it was, I could see it on one of the Long Beach pics. I hadn't know to look for the LKA camera up by the rear view mirror. Thanks for pointing it out. Did you notice a little Photoshop event on that second pic? The lopped out the headlamp washer "doors" and the covers for the tie down/tow hooks that protrude through the bumper during shipment. Thanks for the help!
In the picture just below the headlight on the side finder you will see the round sensor for parking your car.
Your welcome! I'm not so sure that it was photoshop it has no IPA sensors as well, this is the early pre-production model.
