I have a 2005 Prius with package #6, does my car's alarm turn on by itself or do I have to push that little square button on the door or push the lock button on the key fob? If it does turn on by itself, how long before it arms? Is this adjustable? THANKS! I know I'll find it in the 1/2" thick manual but I'm curious now!
It doesn't turn on by itself. You have to push the button or lock it with the fob. But there is a dealer-settable option [PASSIVE] that will make it set itself. Unfortunately that option will still not cause it to lock itself.
Hahahaha! I asked the EXACT same question when I got my white pkg 6. Yes, as the last poster said, you do have to push the little black button on the door handle. 8) I have to say - I just LOVE the whole keyless thing. It makes me feel like my car "knows" me. Yoda
