So, two days ago Forbes "Pump Busters" article claimed that the VW golf diesel "is the most fuel-efficient hatchback sold in the U.S." I sent a very polite email to the editor correcting them, the golf diesel is third behind the Insight and the Prius. Today the article now says the golf is "is one of the most fuel-efficient hatchbacks sold in the U.S." http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2005/03/07...l_0307feat.html No mention of the Prius... Nate
hehehe... i read the article and what a different world the rest of us live in... i have never seen such lofty praise for cars that get 24-32 mpg... that is ONE HALF of what a Prius gets... that is also 33% less than the point when most of think our Prius is broken hehehehe
I love the Escape Hybrid's blurb... "Makes more impressive fuel gains than, say, a hybrid hatchback" (not exact quote) WHAT??? I'm not too impressed with a few extra mpg lifting their average into the 20's...
