Ordered 11 February, delivered 19 March, a Platinum Silver Prius, 'standard' edition. There are just two editions, 'standard' and 'business' in this country. Business is about your package #9, without HID headlights (not available here). Standard is about your package #3, but does include VSC. Both have EV-button. 600 of the 1000 Prius'es allotted to Holland have already been sold in the first 6 weeks. According to my dealer new orders will have to wait for delivery in next January. There is a large tax-incentive here to go hybrid (for Honda Civic IMA as well): in Holland 25% tax is added to the base price on personal cars (not on commercial cars). Hybrid cars are exempt of this so-called BPM. This can be upto euro 7660. On top of that we have the normal value added tax (sale tax) of 19%. It feels exciting, somewhat like getting my first car, 39 years back, as a student on the University of Utrecht. This is now my 11th car, and I have had cars in all sizes, starting from my first 2 cylinder Citroen 2CV, up to the full-size Ford Galaxy 500 XL, which I drove 25 years ago while working as a post-doc at Texas A&M University for two years. In the mean time I must have driven a million miles. My last car, a Peugeot 306 diesel, was excellent, did better than 40 mpg over its total 223000 km (139000 miles). Hopefully this Prius will not disappoint me either. I am in love with it now anyway.
congrats on your car! ive had mine a week and loveit!. is your town named after the famous cheese? fred
Yes, Gouda cheese must be the worldwide most imitated type of cheese. In Texas we got it made in Wisconsin. Try the real thing, matured for for more than half a year ! Gouda is also known for the painted glas windows in the medieval church.
Is the correct pronounciation "Howda"? Don't be dissin Wisconsin cheese... Brian "Eat cheese or die" - proposed Wisconsin licence plate slogan "Oh, what a friend we have in cheeses"
Gotta dis it a bit What is with the strange orange color of your Cheddar? If something that color came out of a cow, I think it would have to be put down! ;-)
Hardstikke fijn man! Ook Hilversum mag binnenkort een Prius verwachten. OR: Great Man! Also Hilversum (the radio and television town in the backyard of Amsterdam) expered a Prius soon.
The cheese is named after the town, I visited there in 1956. For a little money they let you wear the traditional cheese carriers get-up for a photo. Do you know which cheese is MADE backwards? EDAM
Hoera!! (Hurray) Gefeliciteerd! (Congratulations) And BPM is not 25%, but 45.2%. This is applied to the net catalogue price. When BPM is added a correction is applied ( EUR 1540 is deducted for petrol engine cars and EUR 328 is added for diesel cars). And after that the 19% VAT is applied... :x I ordered my Prius at the beginning of March and it should arrive in August or September, although it could be a bit later :?
