I am probably going to end up with a #6 or #7 package. I *need* a security system. Has anyone had an aftermarket security system installed? Which system? How much $$? Does it integrate with the SmartEntry?
You can have the Toyota VIP system installed as an aftermarket by any Toyota dealer. It integrates perfectly with the Smart Entry and Engine Immobilizer. You can also include the Glass Breakage Sensor. We had this done at the local Toyota dealer after purchasing a package 3 at a remote dealer. We got it for less than list price. Everything works great! We highly recommend this choice.
I was told by my dealer that it would cost $600 to get the toyota system installed aftermarket. For that price, I can get a really nice non-toyota system. Is the VIP system that nice? How much did you pay?
