Im not wanting to buy a EV kit for my prius but I want to button to add some features to my car any ideas on a switch/button source???
I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you looking for EV-switch functionality? What "features" are you looking for? Please clarify.
I'm looking for a switch that looks just like the EV switch except I have no need to install the "EV" portion of that switch. As we all know there are up to two extra places to place a switch in the prius dash near the dimmer switch. I am trying to get two ev looking switches, as they will fit nicely and provide a stock look, in those two extra slots. I am not wanting to use a toggle switch from radio shack yet....atleast
So you just want stock buttons that dont do anything? Go here http://sigmaautomotive.com/jdm/prius/nhw20_int.php and scroll down to the EV and IPA buttons. This is what my Prius looks like. Rheostat, EV button, IPA button used as front/rear camera switch.
OP, what we're trying to be clear about is what type of switch you need...momentary, on-off, multi-position, etc. Most people just buy a cheap switch at Radio Shack and then cut out a hole in the 'knock-out' from the car and reinstall.
