hi there, just moved down from SF at the beginning of the year. i used to take my '05 to luscious garage up in the city, which was a great independent shop staffed by certified mechanics. plus, they were amazingly green, considering all the gunk they deal with. however, i've looked around and haven't heard of anything similar down here in the southland. is it really true that there aren't any hybrid mechanics in LA at all? thanks!
You don't need a hybrid specialty shop. Just look for a shop that has a Mastertech 3100 scan tool with Toyota software. I think the Prius is popular enough now that even ordinary shops have to learn about how to service them.
