I have version 6.1 and am considering updating. Can someone please advise what the latest version is and when a new version is scheduled to be released? Thanks!
I just found out my 2008 Prius that was built in middle of may 2008 has the 2006 software and the Dealership said they run 1 year behind the present but the latest version was supposed to be out in May of 2008???
If memory serves me, I thought I had heard that they come out with an update in August of every year, but I haven't heard anything lately. Is the version in your 2008 6.1?
How does one find out what version one has? I bought my 2008 Prius in November of 2007. How much does it cost to get the DVD updated? Thanks
Simple, Press Menu bottom on MFD. On the screen in the upper right corner you will see MAP. Press it. It will give you the Map DVD info. I have a 2008 and have Map V.7.1 Upgrade cost is $250. There are some places you can find it cheaper...Google it, including price in the search!
New versions are generally available in November. My 2006 came with 5.1 from fall 2005, which was the latest available at build time. I updated from 5.1 to 8.1 last November.
