No although with the new features, I don't understand why you need to.

I imagine he wants to heat the car before entering.

The solar roof and the remote A/C can cool the car down, but there is nothing to heat it up. Or is there?

Still. I hate remote starters because for something so easy, we waste so much fuel just because we don't want to wait 1-2 mins for the heater to come on or dress up (I know it's hard to drive with a jacket but mine isn't in the way and I think I've been in some of the coldest temps. The only people that can claim better are those in Alaska).

Another difference in the '10 Prius I forgot to mention in the Car & Driver ? review I saw is the driver's seat sits a bit lower than the '08/09 model, which helps taller drivers but may hamper shorter drivers.
I'm not tall, and my '08 is just about perfect for me on seat height.

I don't have any problem with rear visibility in my 08. The split window gives a good overall view--the lower for closeups, the higher for further distances. There would be a problem, I think, if there was just the one upper window. That's probably why Toyota added the lower one with the split.

Well there's a height adjustment now and according to a European article, the range has been extended to 60mm.

I'm just wondering with all that torque lost, how does this Prius compare to the 2nd gen in climbing hills, accelerating off the line, overtaking and urban driving? I'm quite sure that the 3rd gen Prius will perform better than the 2nd overall, but I just want to hear from people who have driven it before. Also, how much of a difference does the 17 inch wheels make compared to the 15 inch wheels? Thanks.

No torque is lost, the petrol engine has more torque and MG2 is geared to give a torque multiplication because it can spin twice as fast.

2010 Prius will have about 7.5% more torque at the wheels. See my post #16.

Alright, thanks for the answers. So I guess performance in the city is even improved.

Heating the car itself isn't the issue - I just need to defrost the windows before I can leave in the winter. I have to go out to start it before I can leave anyway so a remote start would be handy so I can start the car from inside the house.

    Danny,
This thread seems, rather randomly, to have come to the top of the list again.

So, i thought I'd ask: What if anything do you want to change about this review, two years and a bit later?

This seems like a really odd thread to ask such a question, thus resurrecting a thread that's over 2 years old. In the future, please start a new thread in the appropriate area under http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-toyota-prius-forums/ or reply to an appropriate thread there.
