I went to my dealer today and he said they're going to start production in seven days and the base price will be $27,000 and the full option package will be 37,000 we looked at their 2009s on the lot and their sticker price was 29,000. I have the feeling this guy has no knowledge.....Help.............First post
granted that you are probably looking at the highest option package, but I say you can get it for $25,000, maybe even less after the 2010's come out. Mine is a package 2 and the selling price was $22,000 two years ago when I got it.
I just purchased mine with pkg6 for 25k total to drive it off the lot. Shop around, take advantage of any buying clubs in your area. Ask if they cover cars. Some work deals with one or two local dealerships.
:welcome: As best as anyone can tell on the PC forum, prices aren't known yet for the 2010's. I test drove a new 2009 model 1224 A, Package #6 last week and the dealer had a "special" price of $25,400 on the sales tag. It was definitely loaded with features. Most dealers are starting to clear out the 2009's to make way for the 2010's and apparently there are good deals to be had. You might try going back to the dealer at a different time of day and talking with another sales person. Or even try a different dealer if possible... Good luck.
For a 'fair' price, go to Edmunds.com, select your version and options, plug in a zip code, and see what it spits out. Across the Cascades in Seattle, a top-end 2009 Package #6 Touring without dealer packs should go $25,672 today, including delivery, after rebate. The bottom-end trim should be 21,428. From my pre-shopping expedition two months ago for an intermediate trim level, I believe that Edmunds is not low-balling. As others have pointed out, 2010 pricing is not yet public.
