<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(debrasnell @ Oct 20 2007, 09:01 PM) </div> debrasnell, Thanks for the compliment!!! I'm a native Oklahoman who enjoys the midwest. Seems we are getting more & more of an influx from the West coast lately. Almost like a reverse to the "Dust Bowl" days. I know from my traveling experience that the cost of living is much less here than either the West or East coast. My wife and I are enjoying the new Prii. I really enjoy the dead silence when stopped at a light. You seem to get a lot of strange looks as if asking "Why isn't your car running?"
Howdy all. I too, recently took delivery of my 08 Barcelona Red Touring #6 Prius. I'm in Austin, Tx. I took delivery of mine on October 4th (yeah, I just missed the tax break by 5 days). My wife has had a Prius for a year and a half now and we loved it so much we bought a second one. Thanks for the pictures of the car without the plastic covers. I've been thinking about doing exactly that ever since I took delivery and noticed that they were just covers. I just placed my order for the center caps and my Touring emblem.
one of the first things I did after buying the BT Stiffening plate is take off those awful emblems on the back, I only left the hybrid synergy drive logo which looks nice, on the bottom right, but the toyota and prius emblems were taken off and she looks really clean now
Re: Finally, pics of my '08 Touring Prii This is a very late reply to the issue of Rejex being hard to find. It is widely used in the aircraft world to make bugs and turbine exhaust easier to remove, so almost any pilot shop will have it, as well as mail order shops like Sporty's or Aircraft Spruce. I really like it, as well. I put it on the leading edges of the wings and tail, and the front of the cowling. Oddly, I haven't thought of using it on the car, but now I'll give it a try.
