I live in Québec - the world's cheapest electrical bill for Kw/H. They are making ZENNs in my backyard - St-Jérôme, Québec, idiotic (my opinion) NEV's that are not even street legal in Canada. By sept 2010, I will have invested over 40k Can$ in a car that's just a NEV-2. Yet, incredibly, by the time my lease is up on my Prius, there will be no viable alternative. I th!nk the Think won't be available for at least another five years. If ZENN could wake up and make a 50,000 Can$ EV instead of an 18k$ TOY car. Almost makes me want to quit as a software programmer and build my own EV's.
Why wait? Folks on this forum are building their own right now: Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - Ecomodder.com Fuel Economy Forum I share your frustration at the financial difficulties Think is having. A year, even six months ago I thought it was the front runner for first 60 MPH, streetable 40 Mile EV to arrive in N. America. Not so now. the Mitsubishi iMiEV looks like the front runner now.
