Greetings All, I had my Prius now for a little over a year and still am amazed with it. I am almost at the 20K mile marker on the car and wanted to seek advise on whether a 20K tune up is needed or if I can do it myself. Does the dealership do anything special? Thanks Duonger
All that is needed is to replace the engine oil and oil filter. Any other inspections, tire rotation etc can be done at your option, or not. See the maintenance schedule (can be found at Toyota Parts and Service ) if you need more details.
No, I've worked in the computer industry most of my career, in finance, marketing, and operations mgmt positions. Worked in Silicon Valley for 20 years; moved to OC 9 years ago.
If you just go in and ask for a 20,000 mile service, they will likely rip you off to the tune of $400.
