Mark it on your calendars. Based on what I've just witnessed here this week , that day is going to be a real treat. :car: Doug Coleman Prius Product Manager Toyota Motor Sales, USA
Can't wait, Thanks Doug. It'll be something else to look forward to since waiting till' May for delivery seems SO far away! lol
My heart is all a-twitter. What? Can't I use that word anymore? So, in just a little more than three weeks, you're going to announce Silver Pine Mica is making a comeback? :thumb:
Ok ... first guess: First USA produced Prius rolls off the line. Prototype Venza and Solaria hybrids roll off the line. 4WD, 2.4L Prius 'sport', limited edition. Second guess: EV mode bumped up to 47-50 mph Modular, second battery Third guess: Automatic front air dam and side skirts Rear wheel well covers Fourth guess: Rear hatch slides forward and rear sides slide up revealing a pickup liner rear 2" trailer ball pops out of bumper Bob Wilson
OK. I'll play too: First Guess: Due to a recent merger, from that day forward the Prius will be known as the Yahoo! Second Guess: Due to high incidence of whiplash caused by price increases, the rear-view camera now will be standard equipment on all Prius models. Third Guess: Due to reasons of unacceptable discrimination, anyone who has a PC screen name all in lower case letters will receive the Advanced Technology Package (oops - the advanced technology package) FREE (ah - free). Free with purchase of the Prius V, that is. Fourth Guess: Due to unforeseen reasoning, 2010 prices will be announced and we'll be thrilled to find the prices are lower than the "leaked" numbers.
We already know that is the day the press embargo gets lifted on the test drives Danny and Wayne participated in today. With any luck, they may also have pricing set by that date, but not necessarily.
ggood, I was referring to that too, but since Doug didn't come right out and say it, I wasn't going to spoil the fun!
Sorry to spoil the fun, I just couldn't believe people were dancing all around that like it was still a secret. Hopefully, they'll publish pricing at the same time. Even more hopefully, maybe they'll give you LA and SF party goers some short drives without embargoing you! I just knew I should have held out for SF!
Sounds like Doug is pretty sure they hit a homerun with the press. Lots of good press could lead to those lines people are worried about, especially if the pricing is right.
Not only will they release the price(hopefully lower than we expect) but maybe even the date of expected deliveries!
It would be great if some info on the Euro-Prius would be published as well. (pricing, availability, packages)
I just put a countdown clock on my laptop!! Nothin like watching the clock to make it go faster.:horn:
Then on the 26th the Tesla Model S is released. Not sure how much of the Prius thunder that will steal, but I know I'll be watching it too.
