Another successful 3800 mile mission to the winter vacation site has been completed.
This is the largest load yet, and the worst mileage.
No problems to report regarding handling with the large load.
I tried to maintain a speed of 5mph over the limit.
It was very cold on the way down, managed ---30.6 MPG.
    The trip back north---28.6 MPG.
The navigation system went haywire on the return leg, I’m assuming it’s covered under the extended warranty.
All in all a very good time.

    Thanks….Dan.

whoa... I don't know whether I'm more impressed by the cargo or your driveway and surrounding environment. I would've guessed you were in Hawaii or somewhere in Cali.

    Ouch, that looks cruel.
Glad you had a good trip.
Give that horse a nice rub down and a cool drink.

Now we know what they mean when they say "a fully loaded Prius". . .

Last Saturday I surprised a lot of hams when I loaded a 54" rack in the Prius. It contained a VHF full size duplexer as well as a repeater and power supply. Took two of us to load and unload. Sure was a noisy ride though. The rack rattled. ;)

Actually, I think that is pretty good gas mileage considering your load and the huge distortion to your profile. Good report.

That's a big load, alright, which is saying something, coming from someone who's camped across Canada in a Prius with four people.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but those pictures are from the winter vacation spot, not Wales, WI. 1900 miles south of Wisconsin could easily be AZ or somewhere.

    It's Cape Coral, Fl.
I almost felt like it was asking a pony to do a percheron's work.
I'm hoping it's not a case of Prius abuse.

    Regards,

    Dan.
