My understanding is the guy was on his way to work, heard a "thump", and pulled over thinking he had a flat tire. After realizing all of the tires were fine, he popped open the hood and......YIKES! I mean, I think most people would need pictures of something like this for the "boss". The old "I was late because I hit a snake" probably doesn't wash these days.
