    I know the editor of the paper that originally published the story. I emailed him about the "fuel-efficient" line and noted that wasn't a valid part of the story, also noting PC would likely be commenting world-wide. Haven't heard from him yet. But glad these comments have been made.

    You deserve to be pulled over and ticketed for obstructing traffic. It's not your job to enforce the speed limit. Blocking two lanes is illegal. Why piss the guy behind you off more than necessary? how do you know he's not a gang-banger who will shoot you as soon as he gets next to you? Happens here a couple times a year.

    I think a better idea would have been to call the police and have him arrested for reckless endangerment. If it went on for 5 minutes, if you called as soon as he started the aggressive behavior, it would be more than enough time for a unit to witness the act. Presto. grandpa doesn't have a drivers license anymore.

    I have been struck by the amount of anger while driving. My own! I don't know why but I am stricken with it. It has taken me years to deal with it (never in any real trouble but once) and I think I've conquered my road rage problem. I've studied my rage and come up with this:

    1/ we are moving at speeds greater than man has ever gone, thus speeding up our 'biologies'
    2/ we are surrounded by metal and glass-seperating us from real human contact
    3/this seperateness and alienation creates in us frustration and anger
    4/ we think we are without fault
    5/ we have little patience for the other guys errors and these faults are magnified by the speed in which we are traveling.
    6/ we think we are impervious as we have metal and glass 'skin'
    7/ driving can be very frustrating at times, especially if you live in a big city
    8/there is too much pressure-a malady of common woman and man

    Solutions that work for me:
    breathe in and out
    let the other person go
    'you are no better than no one, and no one is better than you'
    the peace sign hanging from my rear view mirror is for me
    anger will subside in time
    be a cooler head, spread it around. it can be infectious

    If you knew what I think when you call someone a gang banger I think you would laugh.
