<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NYPrius1 @ Sep 29 2007, 04:41 PM) </div> Someday, yes. I have noticed quite a few Prius drivers in my immediate area...more so now than before. Went to a local A&P supermarket and parked right next to one. Then, went to another place and parked my car and noticed 3 others, obviously not yet Priuschat members.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(olends @ Jun 15 2004, 06:01 PM) </div> Hi! Long time listener, first time caller. I'm in Hudson, NY. Bought my sexy black 2007 Touring model in July. Would like to join your gang. Interested in hearing any ideas on how to make my steering wheel position more comfortable? I would also be interested in a demonstration of proper Prius driving techniques. -m

Steering wheel; Have you been able to adjust it at all. I found you have to pull the release HARD to get it to give. If the adjustment doesn't fix it, then consider seat cushions to adjust your seating position. There are a number of them in varying configurations; the trick is finding the right one for your body. Driving techniques: I can show you Pulse and Glide; most of the rest you can find at Clean MPG. I live in New Paltz, work in Kingston. Would be glad to meet you half way some day for a demo.
I live in on Lake Saratoga. But I work out of my home as a writer and sustainability consultant. So unfortunately I never go into Albany, except to go to the airport about every month or two. But if you're having a Prius owners meeting, I'll try to make it.
Middletown New York Here (Orange County) I live in Middletown, NY. Would come up if the meet ups prove to be usefull.
Has anyone on this tread gone to New Country Toyota in Saratoga Springs? I've just moved here and plan to get my car serviced there. Their oil change service seems a little expensive at $80. Has anyone gone there? Do they do good work and charge fair prices? Thanks for the info!
Well I'm a wanna be, wanna be a Prius owner. I hail from Newburgh, New York. Maybe a Downstate Club is in order? I'm a knuckle buster type, so I'm sure my Prius will undergo a few mods if and when we get one.
AOV and NYPrius1, who did you folks deal with and at what dealership? I'm thinking of going to Toyota of Newburgh..
My wife has had two Camrys through Toyota of Newburgh and has been pretty happy with the service. I got my Prius through DH Toyota in Wappinger Falls. Word is that the service department is much better at Prestige in Kingston.
Anyone else in WNY, or is that a different area from upstate? Anyone else think the engine block heater is worth it? I've only been getting 30mpg this winter (of course my commute is only 9 min).
I did get the EBH and had it installed by Johnston'e Toyota. I am getting about 10 more MPG during the first five minutes than I did without the EBH. I was getting under 25 MPH now I get 35 MPG. Hope This Helps
Doc Wille and NY Prius 1, thank you both, I know where the dealerships are that you mentioned. Big thing will be who can out do who. And the quest continues!
I'm in Hudson, NY. Anybody have good replacement tire recommendation? Also, what about any good bumper stickers that tell Prius haters to chomp on it? -scribbler
Syracuse NY, before I got lucky and moved to Arizona. Now I don't use 4 letter words like SNOW and RAIN. I'm getting my 05 prius converted to an A123 plug-in very soon. They I can get 100-300 mpg depending on the trip length and speed. I also have a grid tied solar system so when I will plug in it's 100% clean renewable energy. Wind turbines could be good in Upstate NY.
