So here is my Prius before the new wheels:

My plan is to black out the emblems with the exception of replacing the blue accent on the hybrid emblems with a red accent. I was not planning on tinting the head or tail lights but I am having second thoughts. I also thought about painting the emblems all red. Any thoughts? Will post pics as I make changes to the car.

I say go all red on the emblems to match the red ring on the wheels. It'll be easier than going black with red wave. I'm probably going to be getting mine black chromed soon.
How heavy are those wheels, what size and where'd u get them? if u dont mind me asking

The red emblems would be cool. I will consider that for sure. Having a hard time finding a full set online. Will probably have to go to a dealership to buy the emblems.

The wheels are 22lbs each (including the box they came in), they are 16's and those are the stock Touring tires (too cheap to buy new tires and did not want to go too big) and I got them through Discount Tire.

I'd do the accents in a red with a dark tinted candy clear over, will look awesome. (and I'm not a fan of black cars)

Looks really good. Nice freakin' wheels. Reminds me of 1970's Firestones on hot cars back in the day with the red stripe but i guess I'm just showing my age. I say de-badge it making the red stripe the only accent. Go Murder 1.

Does it have that much of a noticeable effect? I've been thinking about lowering mine, but for less than one inch of drop, $1200+ seems like a lot of $$$.

I'm not talking TRD Sportivo. I'm talking another company. I know H&R makes good stuff and my friend has their springs on his Mustang. They just came out with lowering springs for the 2004-2009 Prius that drops about 1.4 in front and 0.4 in back for $359 I believe. This may be my next mod.

Sorry for the quality but I am not a photographer.

Next and last step for me is to paint/mod the emblems.
I do not intend on lowering the Prius as I want to be able to make road trips without freaking out at dips and pot holes. I might also paint my FasTrak pass but that might be overkill :)

Actually, the very last step would be to paint the brake calipers red to match the wheel accent.

ArcticPrius - looks great! I'm planning on doing my black one up like this too. I'm not driving to San Diego to get my lights tinted, tho!

Put a piece of black vinyl over the outside of the front window to cover the ugly automatic tollroad rippoff tag.

I see what you are saying. After tonight, I think all I will do to the emblems is replace the blue accent with a red one. Just to give it some flair!!!

I do like the look with no emblems on most cars but for the Prius I still want the emblems. It's not like people wouldn't know what it was anyway.

What do you think about painting the calipers?
