SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2005 - PRIUS CLUB MEETING/ROAD RALLY John & Kathy Beard and Glenn & Barbara Goltz have developed and set up a fantastic but non-competitive fun road rally for our April meeting/event. We will be assembling at the Automotive Museum parking lot in Balboa Park at 10:30 AM for a easy scenic road rally that will include a lunch break/ meeting at Mt. Soledad, a break at Cowles Mt. Park for water and soda, and an overall 43 mile fun drive ending up at the Automotive Museum lot for a comparison of driving experiences and MPG on our video displays (optional). Lunch will consist of sandwiches, Kathy's "surprise salad", potato chips, apples, oranges and bananas with chilled bottled water and soda. Sandwich choices include roast beef, turkey, tuna or cheese/veggies. We will collecting $7 per person at the sign-up at the start of the drive. PLEASE RSVP to [email protected] if you will be attending and specify the sandwich and drinks you desire for proper food planning! Please come if you say you will, as last meeting we experienced a loss for the treasury due to no-shows for whom we had committed for meals. The drive should end around 3PM, but we want to be sure to take pictures of the greatest gathering of Prius in one place in the parking lot afterward, so bring your camera and plan on staying for at least a while.
I'd definitely like to go. However, I live in L.A. and am not sure exactly where the Automotive Museum is located. What are the cross streets?

Here are a few pictures for those who couldn't make it. I was a bit out-of-it from lack of sleep the night before, but it was still a fun time. The rally seemed to cover a good portion of the San Diego area. I was behind Tisza again for part of the rally, just like at the OC meetup earlier this year.
