Is this just me, or did this happen to anyone else? I stopped getting emails about 2 days ago. I am still subscribed to several threads (per my User CP) but I haven't gotten any notifications for any of the threads I am subscribed to. I haven't changed my email address or settings and I'm getting other website notifications, but none from PC.
I'm in the same boat as you. I checked my subscriptions and they say instant, but I haven't received any emails. Also haven't received any emails when I get a PM.
Dear Dog, I wonder if your ISP is blocking PriusChat? I recently found that Mediacom blocks it so I opened an acccount with Gmail in order to register. The alternative is to do battle with your ISP to see if they can change things. I did that once in the past but no longer have the patience. Roy
I thought of that since I have an evil ISP (Comcast). But I'm using my .Mac email account. They never blocked any emails before. I'm not getting any updates for any subscribed threads or PMs. This just started this week. Everything was working fine last week.
This is weird. I got a notification for one of my subscribed threads, but there are about half a dozen others that had posts after that and I didn't get notified on any of those.
I just checked the email queue on the server and there are a couple hundred emails sitting in there for members registered with .mac email addresses. Looks like the PC server got flagged as a spammer or something. Here is the apple page on it: MobileMe: Email is delayed or returns to sender with "452" error message I'm going to see what I can do to get our server off the blacklist.
Ok, I just had a wonderful conversation via Live Chat with a gentleman named Jorge B. He has sent the issue over to a MobileMe Mail Specialist who will take a look into the problem, but also encouraged any members who are not receiving emails to contact them as well using the Live Chat. Best way to do this is to go here: Apple - Support - MobileMe Then under "MobileMe Mail" click "Receiving Mail". You should see an icon for Live Chat at the bottom of that information under "Still Need Help?" Apple LiveChat support was amazingly helpful. Way to go, Apple.
I stopped getting emails from PriusChat again. I contacted Apple via Live Chat. They are working on it.
Still not getting emails from PC. I got a follow up email from Apple: From: [email protected] Subject: Re: Your MobileMe Request Regarding dogfriend; Follow-up: 65627072 Date: January 26, 2009 2:54:00 PM PST To: [email protected] Dear Dogfriend, Thank you for your patience with the email issues you have been experiencing. Apple has attempted to identify and "whitelist" each of the mail server IP addresses for priuschat.com, so you should now be able to receive messages those mail servers to your MobileMe email address. It is possible, however, that Apple junk-mail filters will still delay or reject messages coming from those mail servers. If you don't receive messages those mail servers in fewer than 15 minutes, please ask the sender to send a test message to your MobileMe email address. Have the sender put the Follow-Up Number of this message in the test email's subject line, and in the CC field, put [email protected]. Please allow at least three minutes for the test email to arrive, and then check your MobileMe email. If the test email is there, the issue should be resolved. If the test email is not there, please reply to this message to let me know. My team will look at the CC copy and whitelist the IP address(es) used to deliver that message. If you experience this issue in the future, please repeat the test using the same subject and CC address as described above, and let me know by replying to this message. Sincerely, Christopher MobileMe Support Specialist Apple - Support - MobileMe - Supported Locations and Languages MobileMe Help Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to assist you. You may receive an AppleCare survey email; any feedback you provide would be greatly appreciated.
I thought I would follow up: my email seems to be back to normal as of two days ago. I think I'm getting all the notifications now.
