Hiya. I'm used to use a car that rises all the windows shut on door lock. Unfortunately my Prius does not! Is there an easy hack to do this? I'm not going to modify Priu's REALLY complicated schematics with an aftermarked solution, for sake of reliability. The car does have everything needed for this - smart doorlock system, and smart power window system, - we need only some jumper in between...
It's a standard feature on the 2010, but that doesn't help you. It is not configurable on the current Prius. There are, or were, some third party options for making this happen, but I don't know the details. It has been discussed here many times, so you might want to search. Tom
Closest I recall is the Gen 1 Prius could use the key lock on the driver's side to open/close the window by turning and holding the key one direction or the other.
One of colleagues here in Moscow told me that his NHW-20 beeps and refuses to lock the car unless all the windows are shut. Mine doesn't. Does yours (prior to '06)? This would completely satisfy my Altzheimer's...
Mine will lock with the windows down but it wont if a door isn't closed. You friend may have confused this, maybe. But, I should add, I don't have SKS.
I believe your only option is to wire in an aftermarket module, such as the DEI 530T, or Autopage AC-78.
I don't know about the European models, but the US model has only the driver's window as "smart" (auto up/down). Although, electric, the rest are manually controlled. As said, there's no simple hack.
