Check there is nothing blocking the pickup in the reservoir and unblock with a pin and squirt. If you use air don't blow directly into the nozzle as you might pop a tube off or split one. Blow across the nozzle to create a vacuum. Most times a nozzle is blocked it's either dirt in the reservoir or car wax and polish.

My problem was similar, what I found was the hose is routed next to the hood hinge and when the hood was closed it would pinch the hose. Once that was fixed the washers sprayed correctly.

Isn't it true, a problem shared is a problem halved.

Speaking of windshield washers, a couple of weeks ago I was removing snow from my hood with a plastic snow removal tool and "shoveled" off one the spray heads.

Is there any non Toyota source for a replacement. I just hate to lay out $25.00 for a little piece of plastic. :(

I think most modern cars have adjustable washer jets. I remember while in high school, we used to aim the passenger's side jet to spray as far to the right as possible. That way, we could slow down, drive a little closer to the curb and squirt the girls walking on the sidewalk as we drove by.... great fun!

Ever tried it with an STI? It has a button you press to spray water into the intercooler. Some have rerouted that hose =Þ

The official Toyota repair manual says "Using a TOYOTA 4 Way Nozzle Adjustment Tool (part number: 95060–10010), insert the bumpy potions of the adjustment tool into the bumpy potions of the nozzle jet and make the adjustment. ... Do not use a metal pin or other such tool as it may damage the nozzle jet."

Unfortunately I can't find anyone selling a 95060–10010 tool so it seems we're stuck with the pin. It also has a diagram (attached) showing where all the streams should impact the windshields. Since it shows positions for the rear windshield, that sort of implies you can aim the rear nozzles as well, but it doesn't actually say if they're aimable.

I have been using a long needle with success.

The washer reservoir holds exactly four litres of fluid and I seem to romp through it on our PiP. It seems to use twice as much as our old gen 2 did. I suppose the headlamp washers use some more but I feel I am using double the fluid amount.

So let me get this right - I stick a pin (needle) or some other very thin rigid object INTO the washer nozzle and just move it? Its that simple?

It's usually a once-in-a-lifetime factory aiming effort, so don't sweat it!
