I've seen two new adverts in australia that have Prius' in them.. but are not Prius adverts..
the first one is a "Quit Smoking" advert.. with a guy walking along talking about how hard it was until he got some "patches" and in the background you can see a guy pulling a large box or suitcase out of the back of a silver Prius.

The second one is a Pepsi advert with a guy that gets into a taxi and says he wants to go to the airport.. so the cab driver tells a chimpanzee that they need to drive to the airport and the chimp drives like a nut.. one of the scenes is where the taxi swerves like crazy around some cars.. I'm pretty sure one of them is a blue Prius.

There's one I see everyone once and a while with a whole countryside of cars and that "Toyota Sales Events." Anyway, every once and a while, the commercial will say, "And now's a great time to buy a hybrid." It not every commercial and it doesn't say "Prius" though it shows a Prius at that time.

Other than that, I've seen the one where they are all walking and driving in place as well as "The Wheel" one every once and a while.

I happened to tape it along with the second half of the Kings-Sonics game.

The song is Jimmy Cliff’s “You Can Get It If You Really Want.â€

(For those who don’t know of Jimmy Cliff . . .
He is a ‘60's Jamaican Reggae icon who is still going strong today . . .

People have waited up to 8 months for a Prius.

You don’t have to wait another minute.

    You’ll succeed at last.

    Toyota Prius . . . here . . . now . . . amazing.

Just this week, heard my first Prius advert on the radio in the UK (we've had small newspaper ads for a year or more, but no radio or TV that I've seen).

It's two voices, one male representing the ICE, and one female representing the electric motor(*), describing a journey in terms of the driving (hills, overtaking, stopping, etc). The voices speak in harmony, but the balance of the two changes continuously to reflect the way the Prius continuously adjusts the balance of the two power sources. So, for example, there's only one voice when stopped at lights, the other one when cruising on the motorway, and both together when overtaking up a hill.

(*) I might have these the wrong way around - I've only heard it twice.

Why would there be ANY voice stopped at a light? Did they not press on the brake hard enough to disable creep?

Anyway, that sounds neat! I'd love to hear that.

Seen another Prius commercial on that same Kings game tape.

This was by a local dealer.

The commercial shows a gas station price board with the prices changing upwards into the mid and upper $2 per gallon range). A voice over then says “If the price of gasoline is driving you mad, you should be driving the new Toyota Prius hybrid from Folsom Lake Toyota . . . it’s in stock and ready to go.

No Jimmy Cliff level of cool music though.

Man is Toyota positioned perfectly with better availability of the Prius and the price of gas going to record levels!
