Can I put a 2006 or newer factory radio with mp3 in a 2004 Prius? I fried the factory radio when i shorted the radio out accidentally. I figure I would put a factory radio back in with a mp3 player if it will work. thanks
Welcome to PriusChat! I'm interested to know too. You would probably have to match the options such as JBL with amp, and navigation, since they have different connectors and wiring. You could always go aftermarket and get a brand new stereo with MP3 player input if you want. I'm thinking of a MP3 changer too - it can be found for $99 on ebay... But new MFD has digital inputs - maybe even for audio. If i had a service manual... UPD. A guy from StPetersburg did it! Will ask and possibly crosspost here.
