    hello i need help!!

I was trying to reset the memory from my '04 Prius and I disconected the HV fuse in the back of the bat pack and the neg form the 12V in the rear. The problem is that the car WILL NOT start now. I continue to have an error (HV system warning) and the car won't go to READY no matter what.

I hope I'm not the only "person" that has done this and that I can get some help.

I found info on line about an Activating of inspection mode but the article has no info on how to undo it

The most common cause is that you simply did not snap down the connector completely...it requires a firm pressure and a final 'click' into place or it will not work.

If you are talking about the orange interlock switch located on the LH side of the traction battery, you have to pivot the switch lever 90 degrees after inserting it, then you have to slide the lever (either up or down, forget which) to lock it in place.

thanks to all for the help. I found a good video on how to put the car on inspection mode and that did the trick.

What video? Do you have a link others can use if they encounter a similar problem?

And how did going into inspection mode "do the trick"? I didn't realize you could fix something that way.

I will look in my history but basicly is to:
1- hit the start 2 times not steping on the break
2- press the break pedal and don't let it go during this proces
3- press the gas 2 times all the way
    4- shift to neutral
5- press the gas 2 times all the way
    6- back to Parking
7- press the gas 2 times all the way
    8- press the start botton.

The car will start in inspection mode. DO NOT MOVE THE CAR this is just for like emission test ect. DO NOT MOVE THE CAR!!!

after a few min. turn the car off as normal.

That's all. After that the car went to ready the next time I started it and with no problems.

So simply going into inspection mode fixed the problem? Odd.

I recall the owners manual or the emergency responders documentation said you had to reset the system when you pulled the HV battery disconnect. There may be another way to reset it, but this would certainly do it.

maybe thats inspection mode also resets any fault?
and faults where set because the service plug was not properly connected

    i think
