Yikes! Where are you shopping??? You can get a package 2 in San diego for about $22K now. Prius's are way overstocked now.
2009 Pkg#3 $300 below msrp in w. suburban Chicago where most dealers don't have inventory. Mine is on its way from port.
I just traded in my 2008 Prius pkg 2 with 4,300 miles for $22,000. The corner of the rear bumper was hit when somebody pulled out of the parking spot. These really do keep their resale value.
2007 Touring SilverPine Mica with package #5, 15,000miles for $22,000. Don't know but I think I got a good deal. The owners were really sad to let her go.
paid $28.3k out the door for package 5 in los angeles - approximately 100 above invoice. had an offer for $27.8 that fell through on our own accord... you can really push dealers nowadays to make a sale, esp if you deal with just fleet managers.
Prius Black Package 5 - quoted $25,597 - doesn't include fee and taxes.. Is this good or should I wait a couple of weeks?
that is actually a good deal, very similar to what i paid (about 100 over invoice) when i got pushed the dealership down to invoice, they weren't willing to budge. i even waited a week and bluffed that i was even offered lower. OTD you'll probably be paying 28.2k not a bad deal for a black pkg 5. and black, i believe is their most sold color. i say snatch it up
I will try to move on it this weekend. Just debating on Pk 2 or pk 5 I guess the resale value will be better with Nav and bluetooth. thanks for the advice.
I picked up a 2009 Package #2 Prius for $24,600 + TT&L with Homelink mirror, carpet mat set, mud flaps, and a few other junk options that the SouthEast region seems to always throw on. MSRP on this car was $25,800 and invoice price was $24,200 (with the retarded ~$800 in SE Region fees). Elsewhere in the USA the invoice price would be about $23,400 on this car. I had another offer for $24,500 on a similar Package #2 car with an MSRP of $25,500.
We have internet "deals" here in Wisconsin of $500 below MSRP but out in California I saw an add for $2k - $2500 BELOW MSRP (Mossy Toyota, check their website). Anyone buy from them? For that price I could buy and have shipped for around $1k.
I got 1.25K below MSRP the last day of September from Mossy - great deal then. But you can do an additional 1K better even now. About 4 cars on lot then vs. 40 now. Contrast to July/August at MSRP or 1K higher. Hard to predict things but now is a great time.
I have the opportunity to purchase a 2008 base Prius with package 6 for $24,000 from a private owner. It has 4000 miles and is 4 months old. It is lin "like new" condition. Bob
Black package 5 grey interior $28,650 otd with tint. (preferred accessory, wheel locks, bumper applique) Is this good?
At Mossy Toyota they have any hidden charges they hit you with? Like doc fees, dealer prep. ect. Right now they are $2,500. off MSRP for package 5. We are in Tucson, AZ. and the two dealerships here are still stuck on selling at MSRP. We are going to go to both tomorrow and see if they will do better.
Package 6 Black, wheel locks, mats, first aid kit, 1st oil change free and window tinting $30,026.00 OTD
I was offered a discount of $1250 today on a package #4 and $1500 on a #6. The #6 is in stock, #4 coming in December. Decisions, decisions.
here in Pasadena/Glendale, CA, I bought a 2009 Pkg #2 last week (with floor mats, cargo mat, net, medical kit, bumper applique), after negotiating the salesmen down to $23,100 before taxes, etc, which they claimed was under invoice ($23,300) on an MSRP of $25,010 or so. And they made it seem like I was depriving them of life and limb with the deal. Would be curious to know if I got a good deal or not. Either way, even Toyota dealers are hurting these days.
