A hatchback would still be considered a sedan, a station wagon is. I'm watching closely, I'd buy this car if it were similar to the ES (still not sure why they don't just make an ESh) in size and features I might buy it...
Toyota will show a concept version of a dedicated Lexus hybrid model at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in two months. According to Mag-X, a Japanese magazine, the hybrid vehicle will be dubbed HS250h and will be released sometime in 2009. The dedicated hybrid model will be a relative of the Toyota "SAI" hybrid (internally 500L), and come with a 2.4l hybrid engine that is also fitted in the Camry hybrid. The car will have a BMW i-drive-esque, LED headlights, etc. japanesegreencars.blogspot.com/2008/11/lexus-hs250h-more-info-on-dedicated.html
Thanks, kosutasu-san! Looks similar to the '10 Prius. How many will want the HyCam drivetrain in a Prius? Probably quite a few.
I said it before on another site. It looks like a Civic in the front with Echo rear design with ES taillights.
FYI, Toyota press release says the official name is HS 250h. Toyota/Lexus/Scion Pressroom: New Products, Technology Take Center Stage in 2009 Lexus Exhibit Ken@Japan
According to Lexus, it will be available in fall 2009 https://secure.lexus.com/lexus/jsp/softlead/lexusSoftLeadHSForm.jsp
