Well given that you don't have to deal with snow and not a lot of rain, it should be fine.

Up here, I wouldn't bother purchasing the stock tyres.

Even though most of the Integrities don't seem to be down to the wear-bars at 40k, the wet weather performance is so bad that most people who live in inclement weather climates seem to be changing them out by then.

At 37k, I had tread left and wasn't all the way down to the wear-bars before I switched to a set of the Costco Michelin X-Radials. As stated, if I lived in a no rain/no snow area, I probably could have made it to 45k (or more).

Ditto but I was quite close to the bars. The bars are at 2/32nds right? It was pretty much "worn" to me esp. since the edges of my tyres were bald! Yes, bald, and I ran them at 38/36 religiously.

no kidding. I was basking in 70-80 degree weather during my entire trip. Then came back home to 40 deg temps.

You SOB! You brought the cold weather down with you. Now it's only mid 50s around here. Hahaha

I'll see how the semi worn Integrities do this winter in the wet and make up my mind then. :)

lol.... try barely above freezing. We got snowed on twice (once was a big dump of 15-19cm the day I got my new tyres, the other is a light dusting yesterday).

And it usually doesn't snow this early, although it did last year (usually we see some wet snow in Dec and real accumulations of 1-10cm in Jan/Feb before it gets washed away a few days later by a rain storm)

I will also definitely get another set of Integrity. My goal is to keep the MPG up. Until such time as another brand/model has surpassed the MPG that the Integrity provides, it will be on my Prius. My wife's Lexus RX300 came from the factory with Integrity and all was fine until I played engineer and switched to Dunlops at 36k miles. After the Dunlops, then the Michelins. To this day, at 70,000 miles, my wife is still dreaming of getting the Integrity back on her car. It's quiet, comfortable, and good on gas! She's a fast driver but she's comfortable with the Integrity anyway. ;)

Like I said, it's fine on dry roads and it's the tyres that got me the 60mpg tank but it snows here and that snow usually isn't the fluffy stuff found in the rest of the Canada, it's the wet stuff that usually turns to slush as the rain washes it away 2 days later lol.

Even on damp roads, I was sliding around.

My wife's 05 has 55,000 with the original tires, I usually run them about 4lbs over recomended. She gets an avg of 49-50 mpg and thats 90% hi way at 70-80 mph. Tires are not down to wear bars yet, no uneven wear, no cupping. I rotate every oil change (5k) front to back. Will be replacing tires when winter gets here, 79 degrees yesterday!

OEM tires wore out at 24,000 miles and 25 months of use. Replacements (Falken 239s, 9/06) will be due in about 3 - 4 months o/a 5,000 miles from now (50,000 miles) so I'm looking at about 30,000 miles and 30 months on the Falkens

I was happy to get the Goodyear's off the car at 44,000. A great improvement in the ride, and a bump in the mileage, once the Michelins were on the car!

My wife's 08 has 15K on them and my 08 only 5700 miles. I notice a lot more noise coming from her tires than mine. They almost sound like what you used to expect when you put your snow tires on in the winter. Any ideas why there is so much more tire noise on her's at 15K vs. mine at 5700 miles ?

She doesn't mind it but when I drive her's and get into mine, there's a lot of difference. They've been rotated 2 times and about to be rotated a 3rd time at 15K checkup.

Have any of you noticed increased tire noise as their goodyears have aged ?

    Thanks in advance !

Very interesting poll. 2/3 of the respondents have gotten 30K miles or more on a set of tires as of this writing, so I guess the Goodyear Integrity tires provided adequate service for the majority of owners who responded to this poll.

Most likely those reporting good mileage out of the Integrities have bumped up the pressures and/or are driving on the highway. I know I have 47k on mine, with 38/36 and mostly highway usage. I just ordered new Nokians, but I have about 6/32 tread left, so I could probably get much more mileage from them.

My Integrity set is not quite to the bars but at 37,000 and snow in the air I'm off to the dealer in the next week. I'm also experiencing some slip on wet surfaces so I know the snow will be a disaster.

My plan is to go with Cooper CS4 Touring. This seems to be a break from posted comments on recommended tires. I'll post my initial reactions after the change and try to update periodically with my experience.

1st set replaced @ N/C @ 15K. We now have 4K on the replacements, and took them off. They are wearing too bad for winter use. We just put some Goodyear Comfort Treads on, AND had the do an alignment. The alignment was off, so time will tell.

Oh, my wife likes the Comfort Treads much better, but when spring comes back, we'll burn up what's left on the Integritys

It's interesting to read through this thread, especially the guy on the first page noting that the left front will wear faster than all the others. I have ~32k on the original tires and they all measure 6/32nds in the grooves. I had been blaming the left-side edge wear on a bad alignment (fixed now) but I wonder if that might not be the case after all. I'm going to have to find out if it will do any harm to start crossing when I rotate. (If anybody knows for sure feel free to hand me the answer. ;) )

    Hi brick,

2001 Prius tire rotation called for front tires to be moved to the rear on the same side, then rear tires to move to the opposite side on the front. Starting in 2002, the tire rotation pattern moved to the simple front to rear, rear to front on the same side. I don't know the reason for the change.

I personally have no problem with moving tires from one side to the other to equalize unusual wear, and have done this with my 2004. However since you say your tires all measure 6/32", it sounds like they generally are wearing evenly.
