In an earlier post I stated my new Prius was Tideland cause thats what the salesman had told me. BUT after looking at other photos I believe I have a driftwood. On the window sticker it has " Bronze Mica Metalic ". I this the driftwood? The only Prius brochure I have does not do justice to the color match. I love the color just not 100% sure the name. :|
I'm 90% sure that's driftwood. I have a tideland, and it wouldn't be that bright in that sort of light. And I don't think a silver would reflect the sunset light like that.
Off Topic: but has anybody considered that the "green" Toyota picked for Tideland could squarely sit in the "color-blind" spot for vision for greens? This would make it appear grey to some people (only men, btw). It's amusing that there isn't a decent "green" color for a Green car.
Hey, Propking, that looks like my new driftwood 6 Prius! Had it for almost a month now and love it. Just have to learn more about it. signed Old n Bold ex-navy pilot! And, Nustrike, my sister in law (decidenly female) is color blind as hell!
I concur with the rest and say that that is Driftwood Pearl. NuShrike, apparently the 2005 brochure has a more accurate swatch.
Propking, I think your car might be schizophrenic. The photo definitely looks like Driftwood, but your Avatar looks a lot like Tideland. Another name for Tideland might be Chameleon Pearl, because it is a color that appears different based on it's surroundings.
Looks like one of the rare Millenium Tidewood-Driftland Pearls to me. Paint mixing mixup at the factory in Japan. Congratulations on a beautiful car.
I believe it's a Tidewood. The coloring is off from the camera that took the picture. The front end of the car is simply too light and off in tint, but the back end looks more natural. Oh, sorry about my signature. Just switched servers and we're reconfiguring the image generation software.
hmmm... hmmm... i cant tell. there has been many times when my Tidelands look very similiar to that color
"It's amusing that there isn't a decent "green" color for a Green car." They are all green... on the inside!
True, women can also have color blindness, but it is more rare for them. It is a recessive gene on the X chromosome, so for a woman, both parents have to carry the defect, but for a man, only the mother has to carry it.
From the picture you posted it looks just like my Driftwood Pearl. So I'd say, without a doubt it's Driftwood.
i always thought it looked more grey than green *shrug* for a green car, they should have licensed the green color that BMW uses. A very nice darker green
all models in america have them. i'm not sure about canada or Uk or any other place. I think you guys have different wheels.
