Our silver pine mica w/bisque leather interior should be here soon (yay!) and I plan to get the WeatherTech cargo liner and floor liners. Between tan, black and gray, the tan seems the most obvious choice for the bisque interior but the couple pics I've found online I wasn't super fond of...maybe it was just the pic? The mat just seemed a lot darker than the car's interior. I'm wondering if the grey or black would blend well enough since the dash is black even with the bisque interior... Any thoughts (or pics?).
My 2004 has the Tideland Pearl exterior with the bisque cloth interior. I bought the black all-weather rubber mats from a Toyota dealer, they look fine given the black dash and upper door panels.
I have a Super White w/ Bisque Leather interior. I have the black Toyota all weather mats and a black Weathertech cargo liner. I think the black mats go well with the bisque interior. I wouldn't get grey - I have grey mats in my Explorer, and they started looking dirty after just a year or two.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm deciding between black and tan now...DH is pushing for the tan. Decisions, decisions...
definitely go for the black-- I have Weathetech floor liners front and rear and cargo--they not only will look less dirty, but they also make the interior seem more spacious. The grey and tan are too light not to show normal loose dirt more than black, and it seems to me the lighter colors will show stains over time--which the black, of course, won't show. Btw, is anyone else about to give up on Priuschat because of Odwalla etc? PS yes, go black instead of grey or tan--no offense to your 4-legged greys
I've complained about it here: http://priuschat.com/forums/priuschat-website-questions/53576-expanding-banner-ads-must-die.html
I bought the tan Weather Tech floor liners, and returned them for black with my bisque interior. I'm too compulsive for the lack of exact color match. The bisque is actually quite neutral, and seemed to clash with the warm tone of the tan mats. Like was said earlier, the black blends quite well with the black on the dash and doors. Good luck!
Became the happy owner of a Touring Pkg 2 w/Leather - Silver Pine Mica - with Bisque interior...BLACK ALL WEATHER MATS are sharp...Love them and they blend well with the black dash and other areas within the vehicle. Good Luck - Have Fun Choosing.
Think I'm leaning toward the black too...though it should tie in even better with a black exterior. Does anyone have pics of the black mats in the bisque interior? Thanks. J.
I'm definitely going with the black...have held off ordering b/c we're picking up our new Sienna and DH wasn't sure what color mats he wanted for that. I'll post pics when I get them....some time next week, I guess. We did get some temporary mats from AutoZone which are black and the black color looks really good. Thanks for everyone's opinions...you definitely pushed me in the right direction
Are those the Weathertechs in front and back? The cargo mat appears to be, but these look different to me. thx! Nevermind, my apologies - I just missed your original post which answers my question. But how do you like this combination? Happy with the Toyota brand? My dealer has them on special at the moment hence the question. If they are reasonably durable, I'd rather save some money over the weathertech. thx.
The mats are the Toyota All Weather Mats I bought at the dealer. The cargo mat is the WeatherTech I bought from the PriusChat store. I am happy with the Toyota mats. They seem to be relatively durable. They are about 1 1/2 years old now; the WeatherTech cargo mat is only about 1 month old.
You might consider a carpet dash cover from Dashdesigns.com. They make excellent covers in a variety of colors that work to offset the huge expanse of black on the dash, and they protect the plastic from cracking and prevent outgassing that leaves a film on the windshield. About fifty bucks including shipping. I mention this, because you can color coordinate dash and floor mats/liners. I have a 2004 Seaside Pearl with a blue carpet dash mat, accented with maroon floor mats. Currently, it's hard to get colored floor mats in anything other than beige, grey or black, but I have seen other colors on line. Mats are easy to brush off with a nylon stiff bristle kept in the door pocket. If you have the optional OEM carpet mat set, you can periodically soak them in a bathtub with BIZ non chlorine bleach to keep them bright. The black would make a strong contrast with the bisque, as you noted, but it might be too strong a color for the mild silver pine mica (great color choice which I would have seriously considered had it been available in 2004). Fortunately, the mica pine is a neutral color that will work with any of the three choices. Post photos when you get it sorted out. Bob
Both my wife's Touring and mine have Bisque Leather Interiors and both have black Toyota All-Weather mats in them that look fine. My Driftwood Pearl also has a black Hexomat Cargo Liner that looks great. I highly recommend you go with the black mats and cargo liner as they look great with the Prius Bisque interiors. Please see an old posting of mine that has a photo showing the interior and mats. http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-main-forum/38510-finally-pics-my-08-touring-prii.html
I have to agree with everyone on the black mats in the bisque interior. I finally bit the bullet and bought a set of Toyota All-Weather in black and with my custom two-leather they look great (dark graphite w/ putty insets). Could not be more pleased! Thanks to all who offered their 2 cents and pics! Last two mods on the way - stiffening bar and block heater. Then, I think I am done for a while! Well, at least until I order the weather-tech cargo mat.
Although not a vinyl/rubber mat, here's a photo of Black/Taupe Cocomats in our Prius: We're very happy with the look.
