I have been pretty satisfied with my JBL/Nav system in my 2008 Prius. Previously I had a Lexus so I have learned to accept the fact that Toyota blocks data entry to the Nav while the car is moving. What I dislike even more is the fact the I cannot view any details of the MP3 files in a CD/Audio folder while the car is moving. Is there any modification available to override this audio lockout?
Yes there are several things that users here have done, first step is to head up to the blue bar at the top of the screen, on the right side hit the "SEARCH" button, input, JBL, Lockpick, Mods that sort of thing. There is a wealth of info, you are going to have to sift through it and decide for yourself, A- is it worth the effort, B- is it worth the money!! Either way you will find a lot to read, as sadly there is no quick answer! Good Luck and welcome de Pat KK6PD
Thanks KK6PD! I read everything I could find and determined, as you said, that the modifications would not be worth the cost and might not even work for me.
