Filled up in Barstow, CA and headed to Vegas, then back to South Orange County on a tank.

CC at 65-70...on all the downhills I'd push it to 85 as the mpg would stay high.

I was confused why the gas bar wasn't dropping...

    Filled up and notched 63.23mpg.

Averaging 47.2 around town in Mission Viejo and greater OC.

Wow, that's pretty good. In Irvine, I averaged about 44. Now that we're in Foothill Ranch, I average about 47, 48 - but I still have to use the EBH to get those numbers. How are you achieving 47.2? With or without and EBH?

    Help!

What is EBH? What tire pressure do you drive at? I'm only getting 47 on the highway and less (41) in the city. 36 in the winter (upstate NY) Something just isn' right

I live in south orange county also and I'm only getting 39 mpg. I use the pulse and glide stuff and my tire pressure is 42/40 psi. Any other tips? You really use an EBH? I thought that was for areas with a much cooler climate than socal. The car only has 400 miles on it and my trips are usually 8 miles or less. Should I try the EBH?

Yea, you really should get an EBH. My commute at one point was 1.9 miles. The EBH took me from 25mpgs to about 45-50 in the first 5 minutes.

Now, I'm in Foothill, but I still use it. On this tank, I'm trying something new. I'm cutting out lunch (someone else will drive) to see how that affect my mileage. So far, I'm around 53mpg, much better than my usual 45-47 (on a good tank).

I use it regardless of weather. As for tips, none, sorry. I drive the car like a normal car, just not aggressively. I don't P&G. I coast now and then, but other than that, I just drive it.

Engine Block Heater - you should get one. Especially in NY. Tires are at 42/40.
