Twenty minutes ago I clicked on the thread here titled "How do you replace and gain access to the foglights?" Instantly my antivirus (eSet's NOD32, alleged to have a good reputation) flashed an alert. The Threat identification it gave looks like this: SWF/Exploit.CVE-2007-0071 trojan
Seems odd to me that clicking a link to display text could trigger that unless somehow the entire server handing the data up got infected (and changed it's behaviour). Anyways, I had to try it, and didn't get a hit. I'm running the latest Symantec AV. Others?
It may be relevant that my browser was Google Chrome. It also could have nothing whatever to do with the Prius Chat site, but the coincidence in time was very, very tight (certainly under two seconds after I clicked--felt instantaneous). I've been running NOD32 on my machines for a little over a year, and this is the first Trojan alert I've gotten from it. Not that it proves anything.
